Beaver adventures at Activity Day 2017

Our Beavers enjoyed a weekend of adventure in the annual District ‘Activity Day’. They got the chance to try many different activities including: archery, orienteering, crate staking, trampolining, cold cooking, nerf guns, crafts and tie-dying. Beavers spotted in local lake

Our Beavers took the water for a kayaking taster session, which was very popular and well attended. They all enjoyed themselves and did very well, especially as some had never been on the water before. To the surprise of some, they quickly learned the necessary skills and confidence, receiving praise from the instructors for their behaviour, enthusiasm and attentiveness.

Longham honours at District Presentation Evening

Our Cubs, Beavers and Young Leaders all received awards at the recent District presentation evening held at Ferndown Middle School. These included 5 Beavers receiving their Chief Scout’s Bronze Award and 1 Cub receiving his Chief Scout’s Silver Award. Longham Scouts become fete warriors

The Scouts teamed up with Griffins Explorer Unit to assist the organisers of the 2017 Ferndown Fete on the Field.  It turned out to be quite an eventful day for everyone.  They helped marshal the 5 and 10km runs by dotting themselves around the town to water and guide the weary sweaty runners.  Following this, they aided marshalling of the …
