The troop enjoyed another successful camp during the Easter break, with an opportunity to try to catch rabbits and an afternoon of archery (no connection). See story for more details.
Following our autumn camp when we were visited by a falconer, this time he returned with ferrets in an attempt to catch rabbits for our evening meal. Thank you again to the local gamekeeper for giving us permission to do so. The ferrets were only beginners and although they managed to flush out a few easter bunnies, there weren't any for the pot this time.
A great afternoon's archery contest produced a couple of surprises, with both Emily and Ella shooting the winning arrows. Still can't understand why Mike, our instructor, never said, "Fire at will"?
Loads of fun for the leaders with their old favourite 'Characters and Catchphrases' game, where for the entire camp each scout assumes a character with a catchphrase, along with forfeit points for breaches of our very unofficial camp rules. Leaders from other troops may ask our leaders for details!
